The Shindig Traditional Music and Set Dancing Festival
The 'Shindig' is a fun packed weekend of great Irish music, singing, workshops and set dancing on 18th - 20th January in Tralee.
Writers Week is a festival devoted to the cause of the writer and this is achieved through workshops, readings, lectures, drama and exhibitions. Listowel Writers Week 28th May - 1st June.
The festival includes top international artists, street entertainment and an arts programme. Killarney Summerfest 2008 is bursting with an eclectic range of activities to appeal to all ages and tastes.
Killarneys unique setting combined with great racing, great entertainment and wonderful festival atmosphere makes if a fantastic great day out, from 14th - 17th of July.
Cahersiveen Celtic Festival Of Music & The Arts
This festival offers musical entertainment, art exhibitions, workshops in Irish music, dance and language, childrens entertainment and walks on the 1st - 4th August.
Brendan Kennelly Summer Festival
An eclectic mix of literature, drama, art, song and dance with something for all the family, from 8th - 10th of August in Ballylongford.
Puck Fair is one of Ireland's oldest festivals. It takes place over 3 days in Killorglin every year, from August 10th-August 12th.
The Rose of Tralee International Festival is one of Ireland’s biggest carnivals, with a week of entertainment that includes a Rose Ball, Fashion Show, Rose parades, fireworks, street carnival and live TV broadcast of the Rose Selection. August 22nd - August 26th.
A great day out is always guaranteed at Listowel Races, from 14th - 20th Sept.
Traditional Irish music festival in Castleisland based on the late fiddle player Patrick OKeeffes Sliabh Luachra style of fiddle playing, 26th - 29th October.
The 2008 Christmas in Killarney festival will take place again this December. For the 4th year running the festival aims to put smiles on faces all over Ireland as we re-discover the Magic of Christmas.
